【摘要】:Themethodsoutlinedinthisguidecanbeusedtoqualitativelyandquantitativelydescribetheperformanceandsensorycharacteristicsofshampoos.Themethodsdescribedinthisguidemaybeusedforproductformulationandresearchguidanceaswellasforqualitycontrol.Thesemethodsmaybeusedbyindividualswhofamiliarizethemselveswiththeseproceduresandwhohavepreviousexperiencewithsensoryevaluation.Variablesthatmayaffectresultsinclude,butarenotlimitedto,waterconditions(forexample,hardness),hairtype,andhaircondition.Thesevariablesshouldbecontrolledoraccountedforintheexperimentaldesign.Thesearesuggestedproceduresandarenotintendedtoexcludealternatemethods,whichmayeffectivelyprovidethesameorsimilarresults.1.1Theobjectiveofthisguideistoprovideprocedureswhichmaybeusedinthedesign,execution,andanalysisofstudiestoquantitativelyassesstheobjectivesensoryattributesofshampoos.Thisisoneofmanyappropriatetechniquesusedinthehair-careindustry.Theseattributescanthenbeusedtodefineperformanceofshampoosandtoprovidedirectioninproductformulation,researchguidancetesting,andclaimsubstantiation.Thisguideincludesthesensorypropertiesinvolvedindispensingaproduct,aswellastheattributespertinenttoshampooingtresses,halfandwholeheads.Althoughthisguideisspecifictoshampoos,theproceduresshouldbeapplicabletomosthair-careproducts.1.2Guidelinesareprovidedforthedefinitionofterminology,proceduresformanipulationofproducts,identification/selectionofhairtype,andassessortraining.Referencesforratingscalesarenotprovidedinthisguide.Theusershouldbeawarethatsomesensorypracticesmayrequiretheuseofattributereferences(anchors)whentrainingtheassessors.
