【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesproceduresforthedeterminationoftheaffinitybetweenaggregateandbitumenanditsinfluenceonthesusceptibilityofthecombinationtostripping.Thispropertyisintendedtobeofassistancetothedesignerformixturedesignratherthanasatypetest.Susceptibilitytostripping,asdeterminedbytheseprocedures,isanindirectmeasureofthepowerofabindertoadheretovariousaggregates,orofvariousbinderstoadheretoagivenaggregate.Theprocedurescanalsobeusedtoevaluatetheeffectofmoistureonagivenaggregate-bindercombinationwithorwithoutadhesionagentsincludingliquids,suchasamines,andfillers,suchashydratedlimeorcement.Intherollingbottlemethod,theaffinityisexpressedbyvisualregistrationofthedegreeofbitumencoverageonuncompactedbitumen-coatedmineralaggregateparticlesafterinfluenceofmechanicalstirringactioninthepresenceofwater.NOTE1Therollingbottletestisasimplebutsubjectivetestandsuitableforroutinetesting.Itisnotappropriateforaggregatesthatarehighlyabrasive.Inthestatictestmethod,theaffinityisexpressedbyvisualregistrationofthedegreeofbitumencoverageonuncompactedbitumen-coatedmineralaggregateparticlesafterstorageinwater.NOTE2ThestatictestisasimplebutsubjectivetestthatislessprecisegenerallybutcancopewithhighPSVaggregates.Intheboilingwaterstrippingtestmethod,theaffinityisexpressedbydeterminingthedegreeofbitumencoverageonuncompactedbitumen-coatedaggregateafterimmersioninboilingwaterunderspecifiedconditions.NOTE3Theboilingwaterstrippingtestisanobjectivetestandhasahighprecision.However,itisamorespecialisttestbecauseitrequiresgreaterskilloftheoperativesanduseschemicalsasreagent.Thelatterpointmayalsoimplyextrahealthandsafetyconsiderations.NOTE4Theboilingwaterstrippingtestprocedurecanbeusedforanybinder-aggregatecombinationsinwhichthemineralaggregateiscalcareous,silico-calcareousorsiliceousbynature.
